| When you
take on the job of a real estate
agent, your goal should be to become
a Realtor© that people trust. Someone that your
past clients refer to their friends and associates. They have to prove
that they can do what they say they can do.
They have to use all of the tools available to them,
like the multiple
listing service (MLS) to list the home for other agents to see. This
service also provides new listings to various websites so that their visitors
can view them and find a home they like. They have to
advertise in newspapers
and publications that reach people in other states and places that the
use of the internet hasn't become so casual.
Open houses, virtual tours,
pictures,
broker tours, directional signs. fax machines, email, etc.,
the list just goes on and on.
My point is that, do you know what the agent you're
thinking about getting to list your home is going to do to sell your
home? Ask them, if you don't like their answer, check around with
a few more agents. Learn more about them, or just ask someone you know
if they have ever heard of them.
Be sure to read up on my section on
seller tips that goes over
what your agent should do for you
and how to make sure you're
choosing the right real estate agent.
